These colours distract me. Big time!
Even the squishy ones.
I was reminiscing about my early days painting Pippin canvases over at the other blog where I paint. It makes me realize I’ve been doing this quite a long time when I look at the kid who was two or three when I started and is now old enough to vote, drive and buy wine, and tall enough to watch himself when he goes through doorways. It’s just the last year that I started to meet some of you a bit farther away from me though, and that’s been nice. I think 2013 is going to be a fun year for Pippin, as I continue to get a few bugs figured out and simplified and hit the drawing table a bit more. I have so many ideas busting out of my sketchbook and my head!!! Thank you to all of you who check in or visit. It means a lot to me to hear from you and see that the designs are liked in lots of places. They’re my kids who don’t need feeding.
I also think I’m going to try and start a new language around the word Pippin. Why not? How hard could it be? I’ll just sub it in for words I’d like Pippin canvases to be about, like bright and playful and fun. Maybe just all really good words. So with that, I’m going to finish this truly Pippinesque chai and get a bit more work done. Thanks again.
