I have a soft spot for the Fives series. \u00a0And hearts. \u00a0And bright oranges and red and hot pinks mixed together. And soft driftwood greys.<\/p>\n

So for me the design above is the perfect storm.<\/p>\n

And I love those bright yellowy greens. \u00a0I’m not sure I ever finish up a design without at least one of those in it now.<\/p>\n

(Oops. \u00a0I just checked out that one above. \u00a0OK maybe occasionally.)<\/p>\n

This one gave me a bit of a chase. \u00a0It had left my desk long ago and Mary had already got her painted inventory\u00a0back. \u00a0I was doing something with the photo of it one day when I stopped and looked. \u00a0In the photo the second “I” was missing. \u00a0“I think that shall never see…” \u00a0Not quite as great right? \u00a0Man! \u00a0I crossed my fingers that it was just on the master that I keep here, not the one I had sent off for painting. \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Mary checked her stock and there were a whole bunch of missing I’s! \u00a0Just have to laugh right? \u00a0All fixed now. I painted them until my I’s crossed. \u00a0(Couldn’t resist.)<\/p>\n

I’ve been hating making dinners for months but wishing for a bit more time to make a nice dinner. \u00a0Does that make sense? \u00a0I like the type of cooking where you can putter and taste and enjoy making food. \u00a0I’m a little over the “Man, it’s 5, what the heck am I making for dinner and how many are even going to be here to eat it?” \u00a0So instead I painted kitchen utensils. \u00a0Because if I had utensils like that maybe I’d like it more.<\/p>\n

Have you ever seen the credits for the movie Chef? There’s a clip of a real chef showing the actor chef how to make a perfect grilled cheese sandwich. \u00a0I just loved how he obviously sooooo felt every bit of that sandwich cooking right down to his toes. \u00a0Thats the type of cooking I’d like to make a bit of time for. \u00a0A soul-satisfying cooking session.<\/p>\n
