I had such a nice surprise this morning. \u00a0A customer, Ann, had started stitching the large tea cosy a couple of years ago and she sent me a picture of it finished and made up.<\/p>\n

Didn’t it turn out beautifully? She had bought it to stitch on a flight to a ski holiday, and then kept stitching when she broke her leg on the first run of the first day. \u00a0First run of the first day. \u00a0Ugh.<\/p>\n

She bought it back when I was still doing most of my own painting and asked if I could paint a K on it instead of the T. \u00a0She figured out how to do a back on it too.<\/p>\n

It’s such a treat to see things finished up. \u00a0Heaven knows that doesn’t happen very often with my own stitching!<\/p>\n

This has always been one of my favourites. \u00a0I remember painting it one afternoon in my sketchbook and then going to pick up my youngest from school, and taking along the sketch so I could keep peeking at it.<\/p>\n

\"tea<\/a>I still do that with the paintings I do in my painting class. \u00a0I prop them up against the door on the passenger seat and when I stop at lights \u00a0glance over to try to see them with fresh eyes.<\/p>\n

I don’t think I had ever used these bright colours before, and felt a bit starstruck by them. \u00a0They ended up being “Pippin” colours that I go back to over and over. \u00a0If you need proof\u00a0look at the paint bobs at the top of the Pippin website pages, and the other colours used in logs and backgrounds. \u00a0Takes me back.
