I miss summer food so much when fall really gets here. \u00a0This\u00a0one, some chicken enchilada wrap thing, was delicious and all the better for being eaten out on the porch, and with the bonus of the whole crew being present. \u00a0Not many of those outside dinners left, and trickier to all eat together with practices\u00a0and\u00a0such starting\u00a0up.\u00a0Those\u00a0colours! \u00a0That\u00a0late afternoon sun!<\/p>\n

Every year I miss early and late daylight more I think. \u00a0I miss being able to get to my desk early and get a few hours in before anyone even stirs, in the summer. \u00a0Or now, getting up there right after the school bus has taken away sleepy teenagers.<\/p>\n

This year I’m making a point of thinking about and mentally listing things that I love that happen in fall and winter.<\/p>\n

No outside dinners on the porch. \u00a0But how about eating at my fabulous dining room table. In candlelight? \u00a0A quirky gorgeous table made on Christmas Eve morning years ago, by a recalcitrant man and a helpful 4 year old. \u00a0The\u00a0promised replacement for tablecloth-disguised card tables. \u00a0The day before Christmas dinner. \u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If you have good eyes and look at the little rock to the right of the sea glass you might be able to spot what this table was made with.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Lots of love, and a fair bit of cheekiness. \u00a0Christmas\u00a0Eve morning. \u00a0Come\u00a0on.<\/p>\n
