Stripes and dots and spots follow me around

Dots and spots and stripes always catch my eye.  Always lots hanging around in this summer stuff.  This dotty thing is one of my very favourite bowls, and the fact that it’s clean and not cleaned by me is even better.

(Nice thoughts of what filled it last night too.)

The first photo is a bit murky, but for nice reasons.  It was taken early early on a peaceful Sunday morning, before it was very light and on the first cloudy morning after a glorious string of hot summer weather. So nice to take a bit of a breather, even nicer when lightning started rumbling, and then rain began to fall so softly.  I sat out on the porch with a blanket and a chai and just listened and smelled the fresh.

That was after the panic of running to grab these and get them in. (Dots and stripes!)

Are these lots of little spots or one big one?  Never mind, it’s a coup for my not-green thumb that whether singular or plural it’s alive, and intentions of blooming are bonus territory. It’s not so fuzzy in real life.  That awful wonderful early morning light imposing its influence again.

Lots of dots.  And a few stripes.

Subtle stripes.

Blurry traveling-down-the-highway stripes.

Stripes at dusk.  And a favourite spot.
